The Classic Lebanese ingredient. Tangy and sour in flavour. Ideal for dressings and deglazing pans.
It is made from Pomegranate Juice, and reduced until it is a rich thick, sweet/sour syrup.
Tips
*Toss in meatball, or meatloaf with coriander & cumin. Serve with bulghar salad & a mint yoghurt dressing.
*Toss through a warm roast vegetable salad
*Spread over the inside of a whole fish (Bream, Red Ruby, Southern Boar or Alfonsino work well) and stuff with a lemon, garlic & celery and roast or BBQ until cooked.
*Use in a vinaigrette in place of Balsamic Vinegar.
*Excellent in a bread dip--just pour some good quality Olive Oil and drizzle a small amount of Pomegranate Molasses into the dish. It will form a small 'puddle' in the middle, so you can just mix it through the oil with your bread (Ciabatta is great) to your liking.
