Berbere Spice

Berbere (pronounced ber-ber-ray) is an Ethiopian blend of spices, not to be confused with the Moroccan Berber spice mix. It is quite hot and in Ethiopia they use it in just about anything. An aromatic peppery spice mixture which includes red pepper, garlic, cardamom, coriander, fenugreek as well as other spices. The spice is used in soups and stews, and for making a sauce. It can also be used in the same way as masala to heighten the notes of a stew or curry or it can be used as a rub on meat or fish where it delivers a hint of curry and sprinkled atop salads, chips, potato wedges, yoghurt dips etc.Contains: allspice, cardamom, cloves, fenugreek, ginger, black pepper, and salt. Available in a 50g sprinkler top spice bottle.
